PRIME BEEF.

The Atomic Hawx Prime 120 has been one of the most popular boots we carry for a long time, and the only major change for the upcoming season is a BOA dial to replace the buckles on top of your foot. The Prime is performance meets comfort, and with the BOA dial, it only gets comfier without sacrificing any performance. For a mid-volume boot, the Prime fits many different foot shapes and skier types. A 120 flex makes for efficient skiing, isn't "too much boot" for casual intermediate skiers, and is enough boot for more aggressive skiers who like to turn it up a notch every now and then. The Hawx Prime 120 is one of the more popular boots because it blends a solid performance into a boot that isn't uncomfortable to ski in all day. Skiers who like to lay over turns on groomers will appreciate the power this boot has while skiers who might want to rip some more technical terrain will enjoy the quick, snappy rebound the Prime offers. This is a boot that will help to make any skiers day as efficient as possible. Legs will do less work than they would in lower flexing boots and for those of us that don't need the stiffest boots out there, the Prime 120 still has a high level of perfromance for the days when you're skiing more aggressively.

Bootfitter's notes:

The Prime 120 is true to size and width. Relative to other boots in this category, the toe box is more pointed so you may feel a bit more pressure on the inside of your big toe and outside of the pinky toe. Instep is generous for a 100mm lasted ski boot, especially with the addition of a BOA dial. Heel pocket is firm to help keep you locked in when you're pushing it. The ability to mold the shell and liner will help to get the fit dialed in quickly and get the boot to feel as appropriate as possible around your feet. Top of the foot, instep, and above the toes is more generous than some other boots in this category such as the Nordica SpeedMachine 120 or Tecnica Mach1 120. If you're looking for a stiffer, more responsive flex check out the Hawx Prime 130.
