Atomic Bent 100 Skis 2027
The Atomic Bent 100 returns unchanged for 2027 aside from a fresh topsheet from Chris Bentchetler's art studio. That's perfectly fine by us because Atomic already got this ski right.
Few skis have achieved the cult following of the Bent 100. Since its introduction, it has become one of the most recognizable and influential skis on the market, creating an entire category of playful all-mountain freeride skis that countless brands have tried to replicate.
What makes the Bent 100 so special is its range. Most playful skis give up performance on firm snow. Most skis that carve well feel too serious and directional once you leave the groomers. The Bent somehow manages to bridge both worlds better than almost anything else in the category.
The current version, which received an updated rocker profile last season, features slightly more tail rocker than previous generations. The change isn't dramatic, but it makes the ski even easier to release, pivot, slash, and ski creatively. It feels quicker in tight terrain, more playful in soft snow, and more energetic coming out of turns without sacrificing the confidence that made the Bent 100 famous.
For a ski this playful, its performance on hardpack remains impressive. No, it's not a carving ski and it never pretends to be. But even on firm East Coast mornings, the Bent offers enough grip and edge hold to keep advanced skiers comfortable when conditions get less than ideal.
Once you leave the groomers, the Bent 100 comes alive. Trees, bumps, chalk, spring slush, powder leftovers, side hits, and natural terrain features all feel like home. The lightweight construction and balanced shape make it incredibly maneuverable, allowing skiers to make quick adjustments without feeling like they're fighting the ski.
The Bent 100 also remains one of the few skis that feels equally comfortable in the terrain park and in the woods. It spins easily, lands predictably, skis switch naturally, and encourages a more creative approach to the mountain. Yet it still has enough backbone to handle real all-mountain skiing when conditions become challenging.
What continues to separate the Bent from many competitors is that it doesn't force you into one style of skiing. You can carve groomers in the morning, ski trees at lunch, hit a few jumps in the afternoon, and chase soft snow until the lifts stop spinning. The Bent 100 is happy doing all of it.
