The Tracer 98 is light but it packs a punch that the previous generation did not. While the old Tracer could tour and float in pow, it lacked performance on the frontside. The Tracer 98 really stands out as a true all mountain performer, all-mountain being a bit of touring, carving, powder, trees and spring party slush. This is an everyday ski that you can throw a pin/tech binding on and have a great time, get up the hill before lifts open or if they are on wind hold and shred whatever is ripe for the taking. We felt this was a much more front side focused version of the Blizzard Rustler 10, if you’ve been eyeing that ski but spend more time carving, Tracer 98 is a better move.

TLDR: All mountain crusher that can hang in the resort, but light enough to be a alpine touring beast.
