Armada Antimatter 100 Skis 2027
The AntiMatter 100 represents a new chapter for Armada's directional all-mountain lineup. While it inherits some of the spirit that made the Declivity series so popular, this is not simply a renamed Declivity X 102. In fact, the only major pieces carried over are the Poplar Core and ABS Sidewall construction. Everything else is new.
The AntiMatter 100 gets an all-new shape, rocker profile, mold, mounting position, and Armada's new Speed Metal construction. The result is a ski that feels noticeably more playful, versatile, and approachable than the ski it effectively replaces.
One of the first things you'll notice is the mount point. Armada moved the recommended position slightly forward, bringing it closer to what we've seen on skis like the ARV. It's still a directional ski, but it feels more balanced and centered underneath the skier. Combined with the updated rocker profile and shape, the AntiMatter 100 pivots more easily, releases turns more naturally, and feels more comfortable in technical terrain than the outgoing Declivity X 102.
The new Speed Metal laminate plays a huge role here as well. The ski maintains impressive stability and edge hold for its width, but it sheds some of the locked-in, charger-only personality that defined the previous generation. You can still point it when conditions call for it, but it's far happier making quick adjustments, slashing turns, and skiing creatively when the mountain gets tight, bumped up, or soft.
At 100 mm underfoot, the AntiMatter sits squarely in modern all-mountain territory. It has enough width for soft snow, enough grip for firm conditions, and enough energy to make every turn feel engaging. More importantly, it feels like a ski that encourages you to explore the entire mountain rather than simply find the fastest way down it.
For skiers who loved the stability and confidence of the Declivity series but wished it had a little more personality and maneuverability, the AntiMatter 100 is exactly the direction we hoped Armada would go.
