Your brain is more than a little bit important so keeping it safe should really be up towards the top of your priority list. When it comes to that, however, you might not be sure what you should be looking for in a helmet and what is less important. The Anon Rodan MIPS is a fantastic example of a helmet that does everything you want it to do, and has everything you want it to have, without any of the additional hassle or extra features you might not want. Safety is obviously #1 and without a doubt the safest helmets are anything with MIPS; MIPS reduces the likelihood of concussions and is pretty much a must-have. The Rodan has MIPS, it's got an easy-to-use BOA dial on the back to adjust the fit, and unlike some other helmets it doesn't look super goofy on your head. The vents help keep air flowing in and out, the only downside being that the vents are fixed so you can't open and close them based on the weather. Honestly, I keep my vents open pretty much all the time and don't like to be bothered with always checking to make sure I have them set correctly, so it's really not a huge deal.
