For the Deepest Days.

Salomon has been making some of our favorite soft snow skis for years, and the QST X takes that experience and turns the volume all the way up.

At 116 mm underfoot with a generous rocker profile, this is a powder ski through and through. The QST X wants deep snow, steep terrain, pillows, trees, and anything else you can find when the mountain gets buried.

Float is obviously the big story here.

The combination of width, rocker, and a relatively playful construction makes the QST X incredibly easy to keep on top of deep snow. It pivots with very little effort, releases easily when you want to slash a turn, and has that loose, drifty personality that makes skiing powder feel almost unfair.

Despite all that playfulness, there's enough strength underfoot to keep the ski from folding when you start skiing faster or conditions become less predictable. Chopped-up powder, wind buff, and tracked-out snow don't suddenly turn the QST X into a liability. You can still drive the ski and trust what's underneath you.

Eventually, you're going to have to ski a groomer back to the lift.

You'll survive.

This isn't the ski we'd pick for laying trenches on firm snow, nor should it be. But it has enough edge hold and composure that getting across the mountain in search of another powder stash isn't an issue.

The QST X isn't trying to be your everyday ski. It's the ski you grab when you wake up, check the snow report, and realize you're going to be late for work.

If you're adding a dedicated powder ski to the quiver but still want enough versatility to handle everything between fresh lines, the QST X should be high on the list.

Who is this for? Advanced to expert skiers looking for a dedicated powder ski.
Who is this not for? Skiers looking for a one-ski quiver.
