Yeah, chairlifts are cool but the possibilities are endless with a split board.

THE GOOD KIND OF CARBON FOOTPRINT.

Weston took their signature splitboard the Backwoods, which is already one of the dopest split boards out there, and made it lighter while somehow maintaining its dope downhill and soft snow performance. The secret sauce to this operation is tip-to-tail carbon. It's the same board as the OG Backwoods, but where there was fiberglass there's now carbon. The obvious benefit that sticks out with a lighter splitboard is easier uphill use. Your legs will be less fatigued and hikes will be longer and you'll ultimately be shredding more. That's pretty rad. The second benefit (or not for some people) that sticks out is that because it's lighter, the board is focused more on maneuverability over responsiveness. It still holds up great on the downhill, but it's not quite as powerful as the regular Backwoods. The Carbon is better in soft snow and tight terrain because it's easier to pivot and more energetic. For a lot of backcountry riders, that's exactly what you're looking for. An easy hike up, and a poppy feel as you bounce through the trees and bumps on your descent.

Who's this for? Riders who prioritize saving weight in their downhill setup but still wanna absolutely rip on the way down.

Who isn't this board for? People who use chairlifts.
