This favorite from Ride is back for another year and looking sicker than ever. I know we like to pretend looks don't matter with snowboard gear but look how clean that thing looks, it's at least an added bonus if it fits your riding style. Snowboarders looking to take their shredding to the next level and go faster along with riders who are already at the level will instantly appreciate the power that the A-8 brings to the hill. Ride keeps it super easy and digestible with their naming. The first letter is an abbreviation for the chassis material, and the number is a flex rating. So in the case of this binding, A-8 means you have an aluminum chassis and a flex rating of 8. That combo makes for a super powerful binding that's going to feel more responsive compared to a softer material as you shift from your toe edge to your heel edge. So if charging hard is your style, the Ride A-8 delivers. The cored Nylon highback also contributes additional power and responsiveness at speed, with stitch-less straps and canted footbeds topping it off with added comfort and control. The Ride A-8 is ideal for strong snowboarders who like big carves and getting down the hill in a hurry.
