HEAT TRAP.

The Super Compressor traps heat, it's crazy.  This was our go-to jacket last Winter for walking around Boston, even near the waterfront it's really pretty warm.  When it was time to head to the Mountains and we needed a solid insulating layer for under our shell it was the Mountain Hardwear Super Compressor.  What we like about the jacket is how it's not bulky and how it packs really well.  Because it's not bulky it does fit underneath most standard fitting shell pieces, for nothern New England Skiers that's a huge plus.  Pairing it with a good outerlayer will be one of your warmest get-ups.

Fit

Insulation

Thermal.Q Elite - Mountain Hardwear's most advanced synthetic insulation.  The baffle is is overlapped creating a seriously warm jacket.  If you put this on indoors you're going to be sweating bullets.

Pockets

Single Chest Pocket - With a pocket on your left lapel you have a great home for your phone especially when it's cold.  By being in a more insulated position your battery won't die as quickly -- we've all been there.  This pocket is also backpack strap compatible.

Hand Warmer Pockets - These helpful pockets are also pack compatible, no need to take off your pack to keep your hands warm in your jacket.
