Generally, at the $200 level for ski pants, you’re getting stuff that’s got all the essentials, but just doesn’t have any of the bells & whistles of some higher level pants. If you’re a more casual skier though who primarily stays on-trail at the resort, than that’s really all you need, though! What sets the Chute Pants away from other pants in the same range is that it has all the essentials, but Mountain Hardwear made sure that it does the essentials really really well. They are super durable, so you’ll be able to keep rocking these for years, and they’ve got one of the warmest synthetic liners you can find anywhere. Totally waterproof and breathable, this is the pant for not doing anything fancy, but getting the basics done really, really well.
