The insulation is excellent and thin enough for layering both over and under, and the elastic seams provide a great range of motion to test out while you’re on the mountain. Now that would be enough for most mid-layers, but the Miva goes the extra mile with a waterproof exterior, meaning that on a sunny day on the mountain, or maybe on a hiking trip in the evening, the Miva can be worn as an outer layer and still provide you with all the protection from the elements you need.

Goose Down 90/10, 850 cuin - The jacket has a inner insulated lining, to ensure that you can even wear it as an outer layer if you choose to, and still be warm enough.
