The Mammut Alvier HS Hooded Jacket is a super lightweight, packable, Gore-Tex hard shell. The Alvier has Mammut's regular fit, and is built with a 3-Layer Gore-Tex fabric featuring C-Knit technology. This construction makes this jacket incredibly waterproof and breathable. Mammut specifically built the Alvier to have the perfect combination of lightweight and high-end technical features. This hard shell piece will provide maximum weather protection on harsh ski days, as well as be able to comfortably handle layering (when insulation is necessary). What’s the difference between the Alvier HS Hooded Jacket and the Mammut Alvier Tour HS Hooded Jacket?

While they definitely have similar names, there is a difference between Mammut’s two Alvier jackets. The Alvier HS Jacket features a 3-Layer Gore-Tex membrane, which will make it better for skiers who make most of their turns in the backcountry and need a supremely waterproof jacket. The Alvier Tour HS on the other hand, has a 3-Layer DryTech membrane instead of Gore-Tex which will be a bit more stretchy and less crunchy. The features of both jackets are the same, but they have different face materials.

Pre-Shaped Sleeves with Velcro Cuffs - These Velcro Cuffs are also extra wide to allow enough space for gloves.
