The Line Vision 98 is still one of the lightest skis in the freeride category. The secret is LINE's THC construction, which is a blend of laminates woven into the ski; where most super-light skis like this are just full carbon, which in turn makes them feel pretty twitchy and skittish when you get them on edge or when the snow gets rough. When you add laminates like metal, or in the case of the Vision, Aramid and fiberglass, you get a ski that feels more substantial and firm on the downhill, but typically the ski becomes heavier too. With the Vision, though, Line was able to make a ski that will be lightest on most places' ski wall, but still skis closer to what your used to from your downhill set. Are you going to be able to get them on edge and charge the same way as a Enforcer 100? No. It's still a more forgiving and more playful pair of skis that likes the tails to be cut loose more than it likes to carve, but the fact that it's in the same conversation despite being ~1600g per pair lighter is crazy impressive.

Carbon, Aramid & Fiberglass Laminate

Designed by: Line // Built by: K2, China

TLDR: Skis the downhill better than anything else this light.

Recommended Binding: The Line Vision 98's do NOT include a binding -- the best skis come flat.

Salomon / Atomic / Armada Shift in a 100mm brake, Dynafit Rotation 12 in a 95mm brake (it'll fit).
