An absolute dart on the frontside that doesn't need perfect snowpack.

KING OF THE HILL.

The Kastle MX 88 is an all-mountain ski with a strong desire to crush groomers and blast through chopped-up snow. The closest and easiest comparison to this ski would be the Blizzard Brahma 88. Where the Kastle differs is in pure power and precision. You'll feel more locked in and planted in a carve on the MX 88 than the Brahma or just about any other ski in this category. The trade-off is that the MX is a relatively demanding ski compared to the rest of the category, but skiers who the MX is built for don't mind demanding. Tip these skis on edge and they'll be sure to put a smile on your face. The MX 88 oozes confidence, has no real speed limit and a ton of energy and a precise feel. Sometimes skis with this kind of power can feel planky and dead, not the MX 88, the power is easy to tap into. It's not a ski built for soft snow or tight terrain but it can handle some variety as conditions change over the course of a ski day. This is a ski built for the frontside and skiers who want incredible performance, amazing grip and no ceiling on speed or power. There are few skis out there that offer this kind of power and precision in an all mountain capable build. Full disclosure, if you have an aging ski boot or a boot lower on the flex index you won't be able to get the most out of this ski. Intermediate skiers shouldn't be scared away, the ski is confident and solid feeling, it'll just force you to become a better skier.

Who's this ski for? Skiers who want a ski that's most at home on groomers, on hard snow, and laying down a carve but isn't too one dimensional if there's some fresh snow or slush.

Who isn't this ski for? Skiers who care about soft snow performance and having a ski that likes to travel off-trail.

A great ski for anyone who wants a frontside ski with a "carvey" feel but also wants enough versatility to take on other parts of the mountain, some softer snow, or just chopped-up turbulent snowpack. It's definitely built for frontside slayers but in comparison to other carving skis, it's versatile.
