When it comes to getting a ski/snowboard helmet for your son or daughter, your priorities probably look something like this. Is it safe? Is there room for growth? And finally, how bad is the sting going to be at checkout time? The Giro Nine and Nine Jr. Helmets are created using In-Mold costruction, for increased strength at reduced weight. The Nine Helmet  is the model that started it all for Giro, and it has protected a lot of noggins. Giro’s In Form Fit System provides 3.5 cm’s of size adjustment, that’s room for some serious growth. Oh and price, the Nine Jr gets you out the door under 100 bucks. Some decisions require a brain - not this one.

Construction

In-Mold Construction - Giro fuses a foam liner and plastic shell as one piece in a single mold. The alternative is a shell and liner which are glued together.

Fit System

In Form Fit System - A turn dial system in the rear of the helmet that gives you 6 cm of adjustment.

Vertical Tuning - Eliminates goggle gap to hold heat.

Venting

Thermostat Control Adjustable Vents - Precision control over the flow of air through the helmet.

Stack Vents - These vents are specifically designed to prevent goggle fog, and they do.
