CONTROL.

Each Blizzard Quattro ski is focused on four key elements of skiing; Stability, Precision, Agility and Control.  The 8.4 Ti focuses on control and agility with 2mm or rocker in the tip and tail.  The more rocker you add to a ski the less precise and stable it gets, the Quattro skis range from 0mm to 6mm of rocker.  Being at only 2mm the 8.4 Ti maintains a healthy amount of precision and stability.  Skiing the 8.4Ti resembles the Nordica Firearrow 84 but with a smoother flex pattern, and more of a V12 feel instead of a Turbocharged 6 cylinder. 

There are plenty of 84mm waisted skis to compare to; RTM84, Amphibio 84XTi to name the heavy hitters in the category.  But the Blizzard Quattro has something different and that's power.  The Volkl and Elan are smooth and easy to ski, but they lack the power the Blizzard Quattro 8.4Ti has.

Construction

IQ Sandwich Compound Sidewall Ti + Carbon - The Quattro series is a full woodcore sandwich sidewall construction, for maximum grip on icey slopes.  

Shape

Rocker/Camber/Rocker - The Quattro 8.4 Ti is pressed with 2mm of rocker in the tip and tail with traditional camber underfoot.  The rocker makes for an easier turn initiation and smoother exit out of the turn.

Additional Awesomeness

Suspension - Better grip due to 10 times less vibrations than skis without Blizzard's suspension technology.  

Binding

IQ System - Blizzards proprietary IQ binding interface is designed in conjunction with the ski instead of being an afterthought plate mounted on top.  The result is better flex, a damper ride, a more precise feel all while being lighter weight than a traditional integrated binding.
