Blizzard Brahma 88 Skis 2024

One of the best skis for east coast skiing. An 88mm waisted groomer crushing machine that prefers to be pushed a little harder on the front side. It's not the most forgiving ski out there but it will help to push you to become a better skier. Brahma is nearly a household name for good reason, this ski gets it done.

A precise and powerful ski for dicing up groomers.

LIL BRAHMA SHOW ME HOW YA MOVE IT.

The 2024 Blizzard Brahma comes back with a graphic update. The Brahma has been around for a little while now but it is still one of the best, and most popular skis in this category. It is a groomer tool that carves like a much more narrow ski but has some characteristics that allow it to be skied through a decent variety of conditions. Considering how much power the Brahma has, it skis relatively well at low speeds compared to previous generations of the ski or some other skis in this category, like the Kastle MX 88. The power coming out of the turn is manageable for intermediate to expert skiers and is definitely enough to get anyone’s blood pumping. This ski can rip. The power is what makes the Brahma exciting, it can absolutely bomb with full confidence down anything on the front side. That power will keep the ski planted, confident and quiet at mach speeds or in high edge angle carves all while making even the more mellow groomers exciting. The Brahma 88 is a ski that any expert skier can appreciate and if you're a less experienced skier it'll just make you a better skier and certainly isn't a difficult ski to be on all day. If you feel like you need more waist width the Blizzard Bonafide 97 shares all the same tech just in a more versatile, wider platform.

Who is this ski for? Skiers who spend the majority of their time on the front side, slicing and dicing groomers. Skiers who want a powerful, precise ski and aren't all that worried about a ton of versatility.

Who Is this ski not for? Skiers looking for a nimble, maneuverable ski as you work your way through dicey snow and technical terrain. A skier that prefers to go off-trail or shys away from groomers.

The Test Crew

We test products year round in order to curate the best gear for you.

The Brahma 88 loves to pushed on groomers. There is no speed limit on the Brahma but it also doesn't mind just cruising blues. If you prioritize grip and want a ski that is exciting to carve, the Brahma 88 is one of the best.
