The Zone Pants are the warmest Gore-Tex ski pants that Black Diamond makes for women. They are constructed with a 70 denier nylon face fabric that is much more durable than its polyester competition. These pants are insulated with a combination of 60 and 40g PrimaLoft Silver insulation to give you extra protection where you need it and freedom of movement where it makes sense. To help you make sure the fit is perfect when you are adding or subtracting layers, BD supplies you with a removable belt and belt loops. That will make sure that you won’t lose your pants on those spring days when you don’t need a lot of extra layers underneath. The pockets on these pants are really well though out. The right hand warmer pocket is designed to fit an avalanche beacon all while protecting it and securing it. The whole pocket is lined with Poron XRD impact foam and the beacon is held in place with a plastic buckle that can be disengaged with only your index finger. Even if you don’t have an avalanche beacon, this pocket fits your phone perfectly and the buckle will have you pulling your phone out quicker than Bob Munden. The left pocket is accessible from the top while you are standing and from the side when you are sitting on the chair. These pants also have outer thigh vents, integrated RECCO, articulated knees, and reinforced kick patches. What more could you want.
