The Atomic Maven 86 C is built for cruising groomers. It's easy to balance on, offers confidence-inspiring grip, and will make your ski day more exciting. It's light and nimble but never really gets nervous if you decide to push it a little harder. For more beginner skiers making the jump from rental skis, you'll quickly notice how much easier these are to ski while also feeling like a stronger skier. The Maven 86 C feels snappy and energetic but does not lack stability even as you push the ski a little harder on harder snow. It bites well on firm snow but the tails can be released to allow the ski to pivot, making this a great option for all skill levels. More experienced skiers will also appreciate the level of predictability the Maven offers. Off-trail, or in softer snow, you can tell that the Maven's home is a groomer, but it can handle a little adventure if you find yourself off the beaten path. If you're looking for an easy-to-ski option that you won't outprogress quickly, the Maven 86 C is an awesome option. 

Who is this ski for? Less experienced skiers who want something easy to balance and progress on or more experienced skiers who just love to cruise groomers. 

Who isn't this ski for? Aggressive skiers. There are more powerful, stable options out there. This also isn't the most versatile ski, so if you spend a ton of time off-trail or in deeper snow there are better skis for that.
