The difference between the Atomic Ultra 130 S and Ultra 130 Professional isn't just liner which makes a world of difference fit-wise for those in the chase of a precise and reactive fit. The power strap combines a fixed strap and elastic strap -- think booster strap but on steroids. The shell of the 130 Pro, is the same as the Ultra. The shell can still be baked and customized. This is also one of the highest performance boots we carry, there isn't a ski to burly or skier too aggressive for the Ultra 130 Professional.
Bootfitter's notes:
The 98mm shouldn't scare you off, it's a forgiving 98 mm in the forefoot. Partly because the shell is a little bit thinner and anatomical. The toe box is a bit more pointed, but will not affect going up or down a size. The heel pocket is snug and precise. Out of the box, you may notice more pressure on the tips of your ankle bones, this will go away after heat molding the shell. The instep room is generous for a 98 mm last. The foam injection will make the heel feel snugger than the Ultra 130 since the material is being added. Feel like the Ultra 130 S is a bit too loose, but it's close. Go with the Ultra 130 Professional.
