The Atomic Hawx Ultra got its most recent update in 2018-19 but has been the same boot since then, the shell of the boot is no longer made with Grilamid.  Atomic's flagship Ultra 130 S is a PU shell and cuff, and they nailed it.  Grilamid may be super light, but the downside is it's tough to put on and feels a bit tinnier (Tin not tiny).   Atomic made the shell walls of the Ultra 130 S thinner where they could afford it, meaning it's not going to sacrifice downhill performance just save on weight.  The other nice thing about the shells being thinner in these spots is it also cuts down on custom boot work, since the shells are more forgiving feeling in those spots.  The memory fit technology that Atomic has on these things is sweet, quick bake in the oven and you have a shell that is your foot - SICK!

How's the Fit: The Ultra 130 S fit's a smidge bigger than the Ultra 130 (2018) due to PU being used instead of Grilamid.
