The 2026 Elan Ripstick 96 is one of the most confidence-inspiring skis on the market. Compared to previous versions of the Ripstick 96, the updated model is the strongest and most stable version. While Elan improved performance they haven't made the ski any more difficult. Arguably, they made the Ripstick even easier. An updated rocker profile makes the Ripstick 96 more maneuverable and easier to turn and a new shape in the tip and tail of the ski allows them to grip better and the Ripstick is less easily deflected or knocked around. The Ripstick 96 crushes off piste and is no slouch when it comes to laying over nice turns on a groomer. The reason why so many people love the Ripstick series is the light, nimble and agile characteristics these skis have. While they are easy to ski that doesn't mean expert skiers or aggressive skiers won't like them -- especially this version. The Ripstick 96 feels solid and can be pushed hard, however, if you are a more aggressive skier check out the Ripstick 96 Black edition. This is one of the more versatile skis you can get your hands on, and it works for a huge range of skier types and abilities. If you thought the previous models "weren't enough ski" this version is notably improved on that front.
