The Shadow 130 HV is Lange's new flagship for high-volume foot shapes, and it rips. You’re getting all the horsepower of a top-tier alpine boot combined with a roomier 102mm last that doesn’t fit like your dads slippers. The Suspension Blade + Dual Pivot tech gives the boot a smoother, more progressive feel while still laying down race-room-level energy that Lange is known for. It's powerful, damp, and surprisingly less fatiguing than some other boots out there. If you’ve got a wide foot and want a responsive, powerful, no-BS alpine boot, this is it. The Lange Shadow 130 HV replaced the Lange LX 130 and is better than the outgoing LX 130 in all facets. It skis better, looks better, and fits better. The realm of high-performance, wider fitting ski boots has been lacking a bit. Lange is here to flip the script. The Shadow 130 HV is every bit of ski boot as the more narrow counterparts, it just fits wider feet. 

Power transfer is smooth, never sloppy, and the boot can be skied hard without being hard on your feet. Lange's way of building the spine of the ski boot makes the Shadow oen of the more progressive flexing options on the market meaning you'll always feel in control even when the terrain gets a bit out of control. If you're an advanced to expert skier who doesn't enjoy cramming into low or mid volume boots just to get performance, the Shadow 130 HV is your guy. 

This isn't the Lange boot people know Lange for, but it still has the Lange race heritage and DNA coursing through its veins. It can hang with the big dogs both in terms of performance and fit. 

Bootfitter's Notes

The Shadow HV 130 is a true high-volume fit but it's not a cavern. It's firm in the heel, well shaped throuhg the mid foot and forefoot but generous to accommodate wider feet. A more plush liner than some other boots out there keeps break in period short and provides all day comfort. Length can feel short when the boot is new, don't sweat it though, this will open up nicely after a little bit of skiing.

Ski boots are sized in mondo point, which is simply the length of your foot in centimeters, and there’s no true half sizing — 26.0 and 26.5 are typically the same boot.
