The Nomad 94 is one of those skis that makes you look for features instead of just skiing from top to bottom. Every roller becomes a chance to pop, every side hit becomes mandatory, and every groomer turns into an excuse to lay over a carve before throwing the tails loose. It's a ski that's all about having fun.

Construction is refreshingly simple. Icelantic uses a poplar wood core to keep the ski light and lively, then adds eight carbon stringers to give it a bunch of extra snap without making it feel harsh or overly stiff. The result is a ski that's quick edge to edge, easy to flick around, and has enough backbone to stay composed when you start skiing faster. Fly-Cap construction trims swing weight, which is something you notice immediately when spinning, buttering, or making quick direction changes.

The rocker profile strikes a nice balance. There's enough camber underfoot to hold a confident edge on groomers, while the tip and tail rocker keep it loose, playful, and easy to pivot in bumps, trees, and softer snow. Despite being only 94 mm underfoot, it doesn't feel nervous or hooky.

On firmer East Coast snow, it'll absolutely get the job done. It's fun carving clean turns and has enough grip for most conditions, but that's not really where this ski shines. Give it soft snow, spring slush, fresh corduroy, or a mountain full of natural features and it comes alive. If the conditions are good, you'll spend the entire day cruising around with a grin on your face looking for things to jump off.
