There are hundreds of options when it comes to midlayers. Where do you even start? My advice? Pick the one that works for all of your activities and interests, not just skiing and riding. If you run in the fall/winter, you may want some wind protection. If you are outside rain or shine, weatherproofing may be important. If you hike and tour, lightweight is key. Well if you related to any of the above, the highball is a good one to put in the running. The grid-like fleece lining has great warmth-to-weight ratio and breaths well. The WindWall™ exterior will take the chill out of breezy day. The non-PFC DWR finish will give you an added layer of protection if your sunny run finishes in a damp mist. In the end, Highball fleece is ready for more than most midlayers.
