The North Face Steep 50/50 Down Jacket // Women's

With the popularity of shell jackets growing, we are constantly trying to help people find the perfect layering system to best fit their needs in skiing or snowboarding. Layering offeres 1000x* more flexibility in regulating your temperature than a standard inslulated jacket so shell jackets deserve their new found glory in ski shops. However, finding the balance between warmth, moisture management, and not feeling like the kid in a Christmas Story who can't move his arms, can be a challenge. Usually, the hardest layer to land on is the Mid Layer. The North Face has come up with a solution within their Steep Series 50/50 Down Jacket. They combined the power of 800  fill down pumped into a 50/50 baffle construction that allows for breathability when you are working hard. The placement of the higher insulation and baffline is body mapped specifically to women to increase warmth in the places that get the coldest and increase breathability in the areas that will need it most. If you are switching to the shell life or just need that extra layers of warm for those bitter cold days, the 50/50 is a fantastic solution.
