This might be the sharpest knife in the drawer, and it's certainly the best for arcing turns on a groomer.

SPARKIN' ARCS AND BREAKIN' HEARTS

Now this is an awesome ski. The new Stockli Montero AR combines incredible on-piste performance in a wider platform than some other skis in this category. These skis are the definition of turn em' and burn em', then turn em' again. At 84mm wide it handles chopped up crud, or heavy wet snow well, but these skis are built to crush hard-pack and groomers. It is a little easier to pivot this ski or release the tails, in comparison to the slightly more narrow Montero AX, allowing it to feel slightly more accessible at lower speeds or in some softer snow, but don't let that fool you. The Montero AR is still a higher performing, hard-pack focused, ripping time. It's powerful, it's confident, it never chatters and it chews up groomers and spits them out all season long.

FAQ:

What's the difference between Montero AX and AR?

The AR has a little more zip coming out of the turn, the AX is a little easier to balance on. Very slight difference, but the AR will have a higher performance feel.
