Salomon Stance 96 Skis 2024

A powerful ski that offers good turn initiation, is a beast on groomers and loves big arcing turns. Wide enough to handle chopped up crud, tracked out hard pack and some softer snow. A huge improvement over the previous version of the Salomon Stance.

The Stance 96 has good power, prefers to be laying over nice carves on groomers and a wider waist width allows for versatility over a wide variety of terrain.

UNYIELDING STANCE, LIMITLESS POSSIBILITIES.

The new Salomon Stance 96 is a major upgrade over previous versions of this ski. It initates turns more easily, is easier to balance on, and has good energy from turn to turn. When you combine those characteristics you end up with a ski that a huge range of skiers would be happy on over a wide range of conditions. This is an all mountain ski, but the Stance 96 does prefer to be skied a little more aggressively on groomers and hard pack terrain. The Stance can handle a trip throught the trees or softer snow, but, if you do like to spend time in technical terrain there are better skis out there that would offer a higher level of maneuverability such as the Salomon QST series or the Elan Ripsticks. However, the Stance really does shine on more firm terrain and is agile enough to keep your skiing exciting. It has a ton of stability and feels composed at speed but it doesn't take a ton of work to get the ski up to speed or on edge. If you're a less experienced skier you'll appreciate how forgiving the ski feels at lower speeds, and if you're a more aggressive skier you'll love how confident the Stance feels even as you approach mach speeds.

Who is this ski for? Skiers who want an all mountain ski and priortize grip, groomer performance, and stability.

Who isn't this ski for? Skiers who prioritize a high level of maneuverability or like to spend a ton of time off trail or in softer snow.
