A nimble, playful ski that is a weapon in the trees and soft snow. Not the most powerful, hard-charging ski in the category but the QST is great at what it was built for. Quick turns, skiers who spend time on the side of the trail, and people who ski a ton out West.

The QST Lumen 98 is great in soft snow, tight terrain, and it's easy to ski.
The QST Lumen 98 is one of the best skis for crushing soft snow days, blasting through trees, or cruising perfect groomers. 98mm wide in the waist combined with a generous amount of tip and tail rocker allow for insane maneuverability in tight terrain and the ability to glide effortlessly over fluffy snow. A forgiving flex pattern gives the Lumen 98 a more playful feel, making it a great option for skiers with a more laid-back style, skiers who spend time hunting for soft snow, and less experienced skiers looking for something that is forgiving enough to allow them to progress without feeling like the ski is fighting them. I can't tell you enough how surprised we are by how much fun we have skiing these QSTs in softer snow. On more firm terrain, you can tell the QST isn't built for crushing bulletproof groomers on the East Coast. However, there is enough substance underfoot to keep chatter at bay and confident if you find yourself on some more firm, less desirable terrain. It grips well enough to carry you from turn to turn with confidence, and the QST has good energy and rebound to keep your ski day exciting. The QST Lumen 98 is also a great option for skiers looking to build a resort set-up that is Alpine Touring capable when paired with an AT Binding.
The Lumen 98 is great at what it was built for. It works well in deeper softer snow and it makes even the most technical ski lines a breeze. It makes quick turns effortlessly and is easy to balance on. If you ski out West or like to spend time off trail this is a great ski.
