The waist width is narrower than a typical powder ski, but it is in fact a powder ski. It loves being in soft snow and prefers it deep.  It's built to slash, not carve.  The QST Blank is a great pow ski and it continues to shine as the mountain gets tracked out or the sun warms things up.  Enough heft to the skis make the Blank blast through whatever is in your way.  A stable feel underfoot, but tips and tails that can be slashed and slarved.
