The Rossignol Hero Elite MT TI is one of the most impressive frontside carving skis we've been on in a while. This is a ski that's built for slicing and dicing the front side of the mountain. Locking into a turn feels incredibly natural, it grips hard, and then feels super agile edge to edge. For a ski that feels this precise and offers this much power, it's easy enough to ski. You don't need to have a background in ski racing to rip it. The balance point is easier to find than some other skis in this category. At 74MM, turn initiation is predictable and it feels smooth rolling edge to edge. Short to medium-radius carves feel easy and energetic and is probably where the ski is most comfortable, but if you open it up and start making some bigger carves you'll find the ski to have the stability and confidence that not many other skis can offer. Even on the iciest of days, the ski offers great grip and is prepared to test your speed limit, because it doesn't have one. This isn't a ski you buy for versatility, this is a tool built to slice up groomers. Definitely one of our favorite carving skis of the season, she rips.
