This board has everything most snowboarders need.
The Ride Smokescreen has a slightly directional shape with a medium flex that is equipped for a stable feel that can break free for some short quick turns if you decide to jump off-trail or into some more technical terrain. A lot of the directional-shaped boards we like tend to have a stiffer flex, but for the progressing rider or someone who likes a more playful feel, a medium flex will be a lot more approachable. It’s not going to have the same high-speed confidence as something like a Ride Deep Fake or Jones Aviator, but what you gain is a much more nimble and manageable feeling at lower speeds and an overall more approachable board.
The profile of the board is camber, so it’s still gonna grip well on hard snow, but when you want to take some cruiser laps or jump off-trail, it won't feel demanding for a progressing rider to pivot the board around or initiate a turn on. The tapered design helps to initiate turns on trail and makes navigating through trees easier without being too wild of a shape that you lose versatility. The Smokescreen has a really balanced flex pattern and its directional shape that is geared perfectly for the all-mountain rider looking to progress and explore some new terrain.
Who is this board for? Beginner to intermediate riders looking to do a bit of everything. Expert riders who prefer a more forgiving board.
Who isn't this board for? Fast, aggressive riders who want to push their speed all day or dudes who want to spend all their time in the park.
We test products year round in order to curate the best gear for you.
A great mid-flex option for riders who spend most of their time casually cruising, not trying to do anything crazy aside from maybe the occasional off-trail run or park lap.
