The third generation SpeedMachine is here, the best yet, we think so. The 3rd Gen Speedmachine is much more powerful laterally, rolling edge to edge is a more immediate feeling than other 130's. Though the forward flex is more on the forgiving side, we'd still say it's a 130. Compared to the other 130 boots we carry, the SpeedMachine is more forgiving in forward flex but that doesn't take away from the performance potential, it's just a bit easier to bend and lean into. Precision is what the SpeedMachine 130 is about. Advanced skiers who want to be able to get the most out of their skis should be in a boot like this. You'll feel like a stronger skier, and your skis will be easier to control. The SpeedMachine does an awesome job helping to make your skiing as efficient as possible. 

Bootfitter's Notes

The Nordica SpeedMachine3 130 is a snug 100mm last with a slightly longer toe box. It's a mid volume fit that feels more like a low volume. Great for skiers with average feet who don't want to cram into an LV. There is less room on top of the instep of the Speedmachine than other 100mm lasted boots. The foam around the achilles can be a little snug for some people but don't fret it will bake out with heat molding, time, or minimal liner work. Compared to some other mid-volume boots, the SpeedMachine 130 does have a more raw/aggressive fit and feel but it's not a difficult boot to ski in all day. This is a boot for skiers that want to get the most out of their gear and don't mind sacrificing some comfort. Performance is the name of the game.
