Say goodbye to the days of the Old West, Never Summer is taking us West Bound with one of the most hyped decks of 2020! The Never Summer West was a favorite board of ours since it came out in 2016 so we were a little skeptical when we heard that the guys from Colorado were replacing it with something new, but they totally delivered (as usual). The West Bound essentially takes the guts of the old West but gives it the setback shape of their Shaper Series, another favorite of ours. This gives the board a much surfier feeling in softer snow and even more float when you get into powder, always a good thing. The other major change was that they added an additional carbon layer to the use of the board for more pop and stability on hardpack. Now typically as a board gets better in soft snow, it gets worse on groomers, and vice versa. With the West Bound though, Never Summer was actually able to build a deck with improvements across the board. If you only shred groomers at Mach 20 you might want something else, but if you seriously are hitting every part of the mountain, there aren’t too many better.

TLDR: Everything you want a freeride board to be. Stiff enough on groomers, surfy and floaty everywhere else.
Give us a shout, for other options that will best suit you. We test everything we sell, and don’t.
