The Lange XT3 120 is a boot for average feet and skiers looking to get into a boot that can tour but doesn't sacrifice downhill performance. The Lange XT3 series are some of the best downhill skiing boots in the alpine touring category and the 120 is no slouch. At a 120 flex this boot works for a wide range of skiers from progressing intermediates to experts that don't need to be in the stiffest boots out there. The boot is responsive and smooth when engaging the ski, keeping you confident and stable charging down hill.  On the uphill side of things, this boot is slightly heavier than some competitors but it makes up for that with unrivaled skiability on the descent. The walk mode is intuitive and smooth to keep things efficient and less taxing on your legs. If you want more power, check out the XT3 Free 130. 

How's the fit? The Lange XT3 120 feels slightly short, but not enough to warrant sizing up. Snug in the heel with good retention throughout the entire foot. Width is average for MV fit while toe box is less roomy, precise but not uncomfortable. Instep is generous. If you're looking for a more precise fit, go XT3 130.
