K2 worked with team rider Sage Kotsenburg to develop the Orton as a boot that meets his every need, so it's no surprise that this boot absolutely rips and fits great. The Orton is exactly what you'd expect Sage's boot to be, versatile and limitless, offering reliable performance across the entire mountain. A stiff and responsive flex strikes the perfect balance between control and freestyle freedom. It's aggressive enough for harder charging but isn't so stiff that it's over-demanding when riding at lower speeds or doing tricks. On top of incredible performance, the Orton offers a great fit that works for a lot of different foot shapes and provides more warmth than most boots thanks to a liner designed with reflective heat blanket panels that retain heat and block out cold. Whether laying carves, charging through steeps, or hitting the park, the Orton has you covered.
Bootfitter's notes:
The K2 Orton provides a snug fit in the heel, is narrow through the foot, and gets a little wider in the toe box. Out of the box, it feels noticeably shorter than other boots, but as the liner breaks in and becomes slightly more forgiving this problem will go away. Another feature that makes it feel short right away is the heel pocket is built up to provide maximum precision in that area. As the boot breaks in, this part of the boot will gradually pack out to the shape of your heel, allowing it to sink further into the boot, and giving you some more room by the toes.
