When K2 first introduced the Mindbender line they were some of the most powerful all-mountain skis we'd ever been on, and the consensus among our testers was that they were too much. K2 then toned back some of the features that made it so aggressive and gave us the current generation of Mindbenders. It's slightly more forgiving in the tip and tail and does not have the same planky feel, making it much more popular on test days and practical for a wider range of skiers. The Mindbender 99Ti is still one of the most powerful skis in the 90-100mm all-mountain category, it just doesn't feel as dead at low speeds compared to the old version. It's still built for skiers prioritizing stability and maximizing high-speed composure. High speeds is where the Mindbender 99 impresses most, whether it's eating vibrations over variable terrain or staying locked in and quiet down an icy groomer. The Mindbender is a top-teir hard-snow performer among all-mountain skis. Off-trail, it lacks energy compared to some of the category, but at 99mm can handle any terrain or snow condition. The Mindbender 99Ti is a versatile option that doesn't care where you're skiing, it just wants to be charging hard.
