The K2 BFC 100 BOA is a high-volume boot for skiers with wider feet or skiers who prioritize a more comfort-oriented fit. The introduction of the BOA system this year is the only change compared to previous versions of the boot. The BOA system allows skiers to tighten the lower part of the shell with a decreased risk of collapsing the boot onto their foot. A 100 flex makes this an awesome boot for beginner skiers who are looking for a boot that's great for their current ability but don't want a boot that they'll progress out of too quickly. Compared to a rental boot this will drive skis more efficiently while also being a major improvement in fit. If you've struggled to find boots that are accommodating for wider feet the BFC is here to save the day. The BFC 100 also has a heat moldable liner and shell to make the fitting process a breeze. If you're a more experienced or aggressive skier you would benefit from going with the 120 or 130 flex K2 BFC. 

Bootfitter's Notes

The K2 BFC 100 is built for wider feet and has a plush liner. A generous 103mm last and a more boxy toe area allow this boot to be more accommodating than most other boots in the category. The top of the foot is roomy enough for people with higher-volume feet. The heel pocket is just enough to keep you secure but not grabby enough to scare more comfort-oriented skiers away. The cuff on the K2 BFC 100 is one of the most accommodating on the market, if you have had trouble finding boots that fit appropriately in this area, the K2 BFC could be your boot. This boot also offers a heat moldable shell, and liner, so any adjustments that need to be made to the fit are rather easy for a bootfitter to do, right out of the box.
