Jones Mercury Snowboard Bindings 2027

The Jones Mercury is the powerhouse binding you can mount up on just about anything.

It's noticeably more supportive and precise than the Orion, but never crosses the line into feeling overly stiff or demanding. Instead, it delivers the kind of balanced performance that is at home when you're riding hard, but not abrasive when you're taking it easy.

That's a combination we don't see very often.

The first thing you'll notice is how connected the Mercury feels. Jones' Skate Tech system already does an excellent job transferring energy directly toward the edges of the board, but the Mercury takes that feeling another step further with the Carbon injected Hanger 3.0 bringing weight down and response up. Every movement feels immediate, every carve feels deliberate, and the board responds with very little wasted effort.

Despite that added precision, comfort remains one of the Mercury's biggest strengths.

The straps wrap naturally around your boots without creating pressure points, and the overall suspension of the binding does an outstanding job smoothing out rough snow without muting the feel of the board beneath your feet. It's one of the few medium-stiff bindings we've ridden that feels equally happy carving hard in the morning and still comfortable several hours later through chop and crud.

Compared to the Orion, the Mercury reacts a little quicker, feels more composed when speeds climb, and offers a stronger connection to the board overall. Compared to something like a Burton Cartel X, we'd put the Mercury in a very similar category, but with a few extra features that are working for you.

The Mercury is the way to go if you're after a more powerful feel from your binding but aren't ready to give up some of the comfort and helpful features. The next step up from here is something with a lot more carbon and a lot less comfort, we think this is the right place to be.
