Dalbello took what they learned from their race department in their DRS boot and put all that performance into a more comfort oriented 100 mm last, ergo the DS 120.  The DS is a really comfortable 120 flex ski boot, this is made possible by Dalbello's Power Cage Tech.  Basically the hard green and black plastic you see on the spine of the boot is meant to transmit energy to the skis, while the black wraps the foot without it feeling like it's in a vice.  The more forgiving durometer PU is less aggressive feeling on points of your foot protrude -- bunions etc.  Performance wise we love how smooth and progressive the flex is, coming in clutch when skiing on more responsive skis. It also just feels automatic, think about where you want to go and it immediately transfers to the edges.

How's the fit: Roomy 100 mm last, less room on top of the foot than most 100 mm boots, toe box a smidge bigger feeling than an Atomic, precise heel pocket.
