Calling all hard-chargers... The (speed) limit does not exist.

X GON' GIVE IT TO YA.

One of Burton's best continues to impress year after year. The Custom X was designed with high speeds and hard-charging in mind. If you're looking for something that maximizes stability and power, there aren't many boards that I can make a stronger case for than the Custom X. Any rider who likes to push the limit will quickly fall in love with this board. It's not the most approachable board, so new riders or riders who just like to keep it more mellow might find it to be somewhat demanding. Riders who just like cruising blues might feel like the Custom X takes too much work at lower speeds. If you're not someone who likes to drive their board, the Custom X will cause you to fatigue quicker compared to something like a Burton Hometown Hero. That doesn't mean the Custom X can't cruise, but if that's all you do better options exist.

The Custom X is built for the rider who knows how to put force into and bend their board. When you start picking up speed, the response and precision are what set this board apart. It's one of my favorite boards for carving because no matter how fast I'm going or how hard the snow is, it stays planted and quiet with every turn, and is completely locked in no matter how much I lean the board over. In all my test days on this board, I've found that the speed limit is impossible to find and have concluded that it doesn't exist. If you've found your problem with previous boards to be a lack of stability, this is the board for you. Whether you're pointing it down a groomer in a tuck or straight-lining the steepest chute in the lineup, the Custom X is gonna keep it smooth and eat up any chatter that might exist with other boards.

Who is this board for? The rider whose top priority is aggressive riding and has no problem with a board that takes some force to bend at lower speeds.

Who isn't this board for? New riders, progressing riders, and riders who prefer a playful board.
