A slightly directional shape combined with a Flying V (reverse camber) profile makes the board incredibly quick, nimble, and approachable. An excellent option for beginners, progressing riders, or expert riders who want a board that pivots on a dime.

Y'ALL KNOW THE NAME.

The original all-mountain weapon, the Burton Custom Flying V is a beast in the Burton lineup that remains one of the best all-around snowboards you can get your hands on. A slightly directional shape paired up with a twin flex pattern is constructed to cover a variety of terrain with confidence while maintaining a maneuverable feel underfoot. The Flying V, or reverse camber profile consists of camber zones under each foot and a rocker section between your feet. This creates an incredibly lively yet balanced feel that gives you complete control of the board. This makes for easy turn initiation and a quick nimble feel when making shorter turns or riding through tight trees or any kind of technical terrain or snowpack.

The shortened camber sections give you some extra edge bite under your feet but will not feel as gripped in as a full camber snowboard. The Custom is stiff enough to lay down some epic high-speed carves, especially if the conditions are great,  but compared to a board with a traditional camber profile, anything with the Flying V shape is going to lack hard snow confidence. The trade-off is that the Flying V shape makes the board easier to turn. A progressing rider will appreciate how manageable it feels in and out of turns, while an advanced rider will appreciate how manageable it feels in tough terrain.

Who is this board for? Just about every type of rider, especially those who would benefit from something that feels effortless to maneuver and to initiate a turn on.

Who isn't this board for? Aggressive riders and riders who love to carve might find the Custom FV to lack the hard snow integrity required for a confident feel at high speeds.
