The Mirus Cor is what happens when a carving ski and a park ski have a very talented child. It's one of those skis that makes absolutely no sense on paper, yet somehow works incredibly well once you get it on snow.

After a few seasons on the Mirus Cor, I can confidently say there really isn't another ski that feels quite like it. At 87 mm underfoot with an ultra-short turning radius, it absolutely loves making quick, energetic turns. Roll it on edge and it snaps across the fall line with an eagerness that's usually reserved for dedicated frontside carving skis.

But then Black Crows throws the rulebook out the window.

The soft flex in the tip and tail, generous rocker profile, centered mounting position, twin-tip shape, and swallowtail design give the ski a playful personality that feels far more freestyle than traditional carving ski. One second you're laying trenches on a groomer, the next you're buttering off a roller, slashing the tail through the end of a turn, or hunting for side hits on your way back to the lift.

That's really what makes the Mirus Cor special. Most carving skis want clean technique and reward precision. The Mirus Cor encourages creativity. It wants you to carve, smear, slash, pivot, jump, spin, and generally ski like you're making it up as you go.

Is it the most powerful carving ski available? Not even close. There are plenty of skis with better edge hold, more stability, and a higher speed limit. But none of those skis can transition from a high-angle carve into a surfy slash or playful butter nearly as naturally as the Mirus Cor.

As a one-ski quiver, it's definitely a niche choice. It can handle all-mountain skiing better than most people expect, but its heart lives on groomers where it can link endless short-radius turns and turn the entire resort into a playground.

For skiers who view every trail, side hit, roller, and bank as an opportunity to do something creative, the Mirus Cor delivers one of the most entertaining rides in skiing.
