Black Crows Mirus Cor Skis 2025

The Mirus Cor is in it's own category. It blurs the line of freestyle and carving in the weirdest way. If playful skis were high performing this would be the most extreme version. We wouldn't have brought this ski in if it wasn't a good ski, it's just different from anything else out there. It can carve a sick turn but it also feels at home in the air or on the side of the trail. It's strong enough to be skied hard but won't be difficult to balance on. Not that looks matter, but a bright orange, narrow ski, with a kicked up tail is sure to turn heads.

A carving ski for skiers with a freestyle background who love to be creative. Groomers are a blast, the park isn't off limits. Bang.

LET'S GET WEIRD.

This is what happens when someone with a freestyle background comes down with a carving addiction, it's unexpected but also one of the coolest things. The Mirus Cor is the guy at the party that no one really knows but everyone wants to be their beer pong partner. Would you want this as your everyday ski? Probably not. Is it one of the most interesting skis you've ever bough? Definitely.  Having tested these for a couple of seasons now I can confidently tell you this isn't like any other ski out there. It's narrow and makes turns on a dime like you'd expect from a carving ski. However, it's got a softer flex pattern and a kicked-up tail like a freestyle/park ski. The Mirus Cor feels strong underfoot and in the center of the ski but is soft and smearable (is this a word?) in the tail. Combine these characteristics and you have a ski that makes insanely short turns and can be pivoted or smeared through any type of terrain. Lay them over into a high-angle carve and throw them sideways at the apex, sure. This is a ski that wants to be skied creatively and quickly. It's not the most powerful ski out there and there are better "true" carving skis. There aren't many skis that can lay over a turn like this though and then be thrown sideways or aired out or spun quite as easily.

Who is this ski for? You want an orange ski? Add to cart. You want a ski that turns on a dime and makes carving on low angle terrain a blast? Add to cart. You want a ski that can be taken through a jump line and carve on the landing zone? Add to cart.

Who isn't this ski for? If you buy this thinking it's a traditional carving ski you'll probably be disappointed.

The Test Crew

We test products year round in order to curate the best gear for you.

A very short turn radius, a generous rocker profile, a soft flex, and a wild shape walk into a bar. That's the Mirus Cor. It's got freestyle DNA and loves short fast carves. It isn't difficult to ski, it's different to ski. You gotta ski it to believe it.
