If you ski hard, want to tour from time to time and have a narrow/low volume foot there aren't many boots out there that can outpace this one. The Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD 115 pairs a stiff and responsive flex with an impressive hike mode. It's lighter weight build makes the ascent less taxing without sacrificing much downhill performance, because that's what it's all about. The 115 flex offers more than enough power to drive skis efficiently and has a great rebound to maintain a higher performance level that most advanced skiers need. 

How's the fit?  The 98mm shouldn't scare you off, it's a relatively forgiving 98mm in the forefoot, partly because the shell is a little bit thinner and anatomical (meaning it fits around the bones in your feet). The toe box is a more pointed, but does not warrant going up or down a size. The heel pocket is precise and offers great hold for more aggressive skiers. Out of the box you may notice some pressure on the tips of your ankle bones, this will go away after the shell molding process. Instep room is generous for a 98mm last.
