The Atomic Hawx Prime 130 is the top dog in the Atomic Hawx Prime line. It boasts unreal performance and an incredible fit for average feet. This boot is built for skiers who want performance and a precise (mid-volume) fit to get the most out of their skis. For a 130 flex boot, the Hawx Prime 130 is also lightweight compared to other boots in the category, adding to the reactivity and nimble feel these boots have while you're shredding. Even in this lighter-weight build, the Prime 130 offers unrivaled power and control over your skis with a predictable and responsive flex pattern. This boot is also surprisingly "comfortable" for a 130-flex ski boot that fits this well and has this much power. If you're an advanced skier, looking for top-notch performance but don't need to be in a low-volume fit, the Prime 130 is one of the best boots for you.
Bootfitter's notes:
The Prime 130 is true to size and width. Relative to other boots in this category, the toe box is more pointed so you may feel a bit more pressure on the inside of your big toe and outside of the pinky toe. Instep is generous for a 100mm lasted ski boot, especially with the new BOA fit system. Heel pocket is firm to help keep you locked in when you're pushing it. The ability to mold the shell and liner will help to get the fit dialed in quickly and get the boot to feel as appropriate as possible around your feet. Cuff is also generous enough to accommodate more athletic calves. Top of the foot, instep, and above the toes are more generous than some other boots in this category such as the Nordica SpeedMachine 130 or Tecnica Mach1 130. If you're looking for a less aggressive feel check out the Hawx Prime 120.
