The Verse is a solid option for hardcore freestyle riders or riders who just like to go fast. A stiff flex pattern gives it a responsive feel that’s necessary for anyone who’s riding aggressively and needs something that can keep up. The natural flex pattern of the boot itself is stiff, but a really dope feature of this Vans boot is removable tongue stiffeners. Remove these and the boot becomes a little more forgiving. This is great for someone who prefers a softer boot in specific riding scenarios, or someone with a multi-board quiver consisting of different board flexes. Even with the Tongue stiffeners out, it's still a pretty stiff boot, so this isn’t exactly a beginner boot. Whether you’re rocking the stiffeners or not, the boot has a sturdy, responsive feel and feels locked in. It’s incredibly responsive and composed at speed, and that’s why it’s a great option for any hard shredders. Slide your foot into the verse and experience comfort and confidence that few other boots can provide, especially when you’re haulin’. 

Bootfitter's Notes

The verse fits ridiculously well out of the box, especially the more narrow your foot is. A thick, forgiving liner wraps your whole foot in a precise manner, with some shape in the heel to maximize lock. Anyone with a narrow or regular foot won't find any surprises when they put this on. Actually, they might be surprised at how good it feels. Anyone with a wider foot will find that the boot feels snug out of the box, but they'll also find that the liner has more give than boots from other brands. It runs true to size and has a super consistent feel throughout. Between this and another narrow boot like the Burton Photon, the fit and performance are similar, but you'll find that the Verse feels more comfortable out of the box, and takes less to break in. The reason for this is the Photon is equipped with a denser liner. On the flip side, because the Burton liner is more dense, it's not going to pack out as quickly.
