The Tecnica Cochise 95 is the perfect boot for skiers who want something that can handle any resort day but also want a boot with touring capabilities. At a 95 flex, the Cochise is best suited for progressing skiers looking for a boot that will grow with them, or more experienced skiers who know they don't want a stiff flex ski boot. The Cochise 95 offers enough performance to inspire confidence and to steer skis with ease but it isn't so stiff that the boot isn't unfriendly for less advanced skiers. The walk mode on the Cochise is easy to use, fluid, and makes ascents an absolute breeze. This isn't the lightest boot for touring and it isn't the most powerful boot for downhill skiing but it is one of the best boots for skiers who want a boot that will be able to handle the resort, just as well as a normal downhill boot, with some of the necessary features you need to have a good time in the backcountry. 

Bootfitter's Notes

The Cochise 95 is a stated 99mm last but it fits more generously than that. It's a bit more relaxed on the sides of the feet than some other mid-volume boots. The instep and top of the foot are true for a mid-volume fit. Length may feel a tad short out of the box, but this will feel more appropriate after the boot is molded to the foot. The heel is snug but on the more supple side of things. It will keep your heel held in nicely, it just isn't an aggressive grab back there. The Cochise 95 is able to accommodate larger or more athletic calves as well.
