The Salomon Shift Pro 110 is a women's specific alpine touring boot that is awesome in the resort, and the backcountry. A responsive 110 flex allows this boot to send energy to your skis efficiently and will never hold you back, even if you're a more aggressive skier. For a more comfortable mid-volume boot, the Salomon Shift Pro 110 offers nearly uncompromised performance while still being able to keep your feet locked in on the way down and happy during ascents. Not many boots can do that. If you're a good skier looking for a boot that can drive skis with the utmost confidence on the descent and is more than efficient enough on the way up the Shift Pro 110 should be on your radar. The walk mode on the Shift Pro is easy to use and does a great job allowing for a natural stride to keep days outside of the resort a breeze. This is one of the more popular women's specific alpine touring boots we carry, and for good reason. It fits a wide range of foot shapes, drives skis really well, and is comfortable enough to ski in all day. 

Bootfitter's Notes

The Shift Pro 110 feels a little short out of the box, but not enough to warrant sizing up. The toe box will open up a bit once the liner is molded and broken in. The instep and width are on the generous side for a mid-volume boot, great for average to slightly wider feet. The liner is on the more plush side and the heat-moldable shell makes this boot one of our favorites in this category. In the heel area, you may notice some excess pressure on the lower portion of your heel, this helps to keep your foot firmly planted in the boot. That excess pressure goes away and will feel more appropriate once the liner is molded to your foot.
