Ride Peace Seeker Snowboard 2024
Easily one of the boards I’m most stoked on at the moment, the Ride Peace Seeker is a board whose favorite thing is soft-snow but has no problem getting the job done anywhere else on the mountain. First off, a directional shape with a short tail and long wide nose are what gives this board its personality. A bunch of our favorite boards; the Salomon Dance Haul, K2 excavator, and of course, the Peace Seeker have this shape and we love them because they’re all absolute weapons in soft snow and then have this energetic feel that makes carving up groomers a wicked time.
The Peace Seeker is stiff, so whether it’s in the soft stuff or on the front side, it wants to get moving fast. It’s not the most forgiving board, but a more aggressive rider who knows how to drive their board will immediately notice how smooth and responsive it feels. It not only floats through powder like a dream, but it’s also gonna blast through turbulent terrain and end-of-the-day chop like it’s nothing. If you’re the type of rider who spends your time looking for the best pow stashes and gnarliest terrain, add to cart. You will not be disappointed. On top of crushing anything you throw at it off-trail or in the backcountry, the Peace Keeper can low-key lay absolute trenches. In medium to short-radius carves, that short tail makes turn initiation and release quick and easy, and a camber profile keeps the board planted and quiet. On wider, longer turns, it’s smooth, confident, and doesn’t have a speed limit, so nuke away.
Who’s this board for? Hard-chargers who either spend their time on the mountain seeking soft snow and big lines or like to bomb groomers, lay down carves, and prefer a directional board with a unique shape.
Who’s this board not for? Beginner riders who want something with an approachable flex pattern that’s going to help them progress, riders who prefer a playful board that takes nothing to maneuver and snap around, and riders who are looking for the most versatile board. While the Peace Seeker is great at what it specializes in, the shape does sacrifice a degree of versatility, specifically for freestyle riding.
